I see how you read it but that's not how it was meant - it was written with the assumption that he was successful in his earlier years many times with in-state players. It was in his later years that he recruited top of of state talent and was successful with them. He did not get players likes the Stipo or Sundvold or get Jehidi White or Chris Carawell or Derek Hood in his later years / but he was successful with out of State players
