Never made an NCAA tournament there.

He did, however, take the Eastern Kentucky Fightin' Mauks to an NCAA tournament prior to coaching UMass. He built that team from nothing to an NCAA tournament team over five years (14 wins over his first two seasons followed by two sub-.500 seasons and an NCAA tournament appearance).

And as bad as he often seemed at OSU, he did have some pretty good years. SLU could do much worse.
