The big 12 is threatening expansion to squeeze more money out of the networks.

The big 12 is best served living out the contract as it stands (remember, this was a 12 school contract for 10 schools).

If the league is using expansion for leverage, the suicide bomber analogy is correct. It will screw over the networks and will make the league fall apart when the contract is over. All this for a shot term monetary gain.
