But I would argue they really don't. While there are a lot of fans throughout the country, you're limiting yourself to just fans. One of the things that has made the B1G and SEC Network so successful is that in those states, customers are forced to pay for the network on cable/satellite whether they're fans or not. Big 12 seems to overlook this important tidbit.
