Warren Powers was 15-9 in the seventies.

The program was not alive and well in the seventies under Onofrio. Under Powers it was. Powers' better performance continued for the 80 and 81 seasons until he finally ran out of Onofrio kids. The fact that Powers could immediately do much better with Onofrio's recruits gave us hope, but Powers and his staff didn't recruit as well. It didn't help that He was a heavy drinker and that got worse.
