put together a couple of seasons where he avoided them.

Pinkel's tenure was a roller coaster a lot of times just like the 70's. The hills were just smaller under Pinkel when you compare the great wins to the bad losses. Gary's good wins weren't as huge and some of those 70's games, but his bad losses were not as bad as some of the 70's games.
