put in a fingerprinting requirement. Uber and Lyft literally packed up their things and left town instead of complying. But instead of the world ending, the void created an opportunity for new companies like Get Me and Fasten and Austin customers who use them are doing fine.

Same thing is now happening in Houston. City required fingerprinting, Lyft pulled out and Uber is threatening to, but the growing new competitors will just swoop in and capitalize.
