of the industry before there was even any real competition because the industry was so young.

But the reality is, if there was ever an industry where a young start up's service isn't gonna be much different than an established company, its ridesharing. Why? CUZ THE COMPANY DOESN'T PROVIDE THE CAR OR DRIVER ANYWAY. Whether you use Uber or Get Me or Fasten, the car and driver are still gonna be some random shmoe from the town you are in and whatever car he happens to own.

Only difference is, if its an Uber or Lyft driver they won't be fingerprint checked so they might not actually be the person they claim to be, but if its a Get Me of Fasten or Wingz etc driver they at least will be who they say they are.
