and Uber and Lyft are retarded for not being willing to have their drivers fingerprint background checked. Oh boo hoo, the driver might have to get off the couch and go give a fingerprint. Seriously, in this day and age with terror incidents like what happened in Nice, France, can you honestly say its not worth it to get a driver fingerprinted just to be sure you know they *are who they say they are*? No, fingerprinting or any other background check doesn't necessarily prevent the person from committing a crime. But at least if a driver is fingerprinted you know he really is Ed Jones like he says he is, and not Aquib Al Salam Mulabi who murdered Ed Jones and stole his identity and is now going to ram you and the car he's driving into a Labor Day parade.
