and Uber and Lyft do do their own background checks. But they refuse to have their drivers fingerprinted honestly just because not doing it helps save them some extra money. Squeezing a little more corporate profit. Fine and dandy, but again, me personally if I'm gonna get a ride from someone it would be real nice to have that verification that they are who they say they are. And since there are competitors out there now who will cater to that, those are the ones who will get my bidness over Uber and Lyft.
