Gates had NBA first rounders his first year, including Kobe Brown inherited from his predecessor.
And now he has an absolutely loaded roster that virtually anyone could win with, thanks to a *massive* NIL investment out of sheer desperation to avoid another winless season.
It's hard to say how much credit Gates deserves for the current team, if any. At least he's not squandering the talent.
