it's unlikely they would win, though, for two reasons imo. First, current players are likely part of this putative class so it would have to be future players that sue to try to get the 22% revenue share eliminated. Second, a judge accepting the settlement usually neuters follow on antitrust cases. And here the follow on case would almost have to argue the prior settlement itself is an antitrust violation. That's a tough argument to make.
Basically I fundamentally disagree with your nihilistic premise. Nevertheless, as of right now, NCAA rules limit what a school can "pay" its athletes.
