She only played 5 of the first 20 minutes of the game, then sat for nearly half of the 3rd quarter. That’s 5 minutes on the court out of the first 24 minutes of the game.

By the time she saw the floor in the 3rd quarter at the 5:38 mark we were down by 17.

So half of her minutes came by playing the entire 4th quarter with us down by 20-30 points, and the game already lost.

How about we try playing her when the game is still reasonable close and potentially winnable?

Now the issue of her taking “only” 4 shots, and making 3 of them, by the way, is another discussion. No, she’s not great at creating her own shot. Neither is anyone else on the team for that matter. Another coach would realize that and run some set plays to get open looks for the player who leads the team in made 3 point shots. There are plenty of players like that, who can’t beat a defender one on one but who can drill open 3 pointers. I challenge anyone to tell me exactly what kind of offensive scheme Pingeton runs. Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason or structure to it.
