I thought being in the NCAA is voluntary per each school? Why couldn't the Big10/SEC/ACC/B12 just walk away from the NCAA March Madness and create their own Tourney and Get ESPN to Air it and split revenue from it?

I get that a new organization would need to be formed but to assume that it would be more disorganized is false. The NCAA is now made up of 100's of different schools across the Nation. Having fewer schools with the same goals and ideas working together should make for a more streamlined and profitable entity. Cut

Cutting out the dead weight and casting them to the wind is for the best, let them survive on their own and if they have any worth they will. If not they fail.

It would be so delicious to watch all the Basketball schools wither and die on the vine going to irrelevant post season tourny's with almost no revenue.
