I think there were two different times

I may be misremembering, but the Big 10 announced it was going to expand. It was during that "exploration" period that some of the OU stuff and UT stuff came out. Mizzou was being linked to the Big 10 then. After Nebraska left and the Pac-12 stuff died, things seemed calm for a big.

Then A&M announced it was going to leave for the SEC and things got chaotic again. I think it was after that the Big 10 said it would explore again and there were rumors, apparenlty untrue or nothing that became official, about Mizzou and the Big 10 again, but on the same terms as Nebraska - a jr member in terms of revenue from the BTN. But Mizzou had a better option.
