factually not accurate and to say that the athletic conference is powerful enough to get one school in but not another already existing conference member makes no sense.

Again, my point is that AAU membership isn't a requirement (look up the meaning of that word if you need to) but a strong preference.

As my actual Jim Delaney quote from July of 2023 shows, Notre Dame was an exception to that preference.
