And develop players. There’s a false belief going on here that the only way a player develops is playing in the official games.

Between now and the start of the 25-26 season the coaches and players will spend thousands of hours together in the gym to help develop players.

Some will leave. Some of those that leave will be good elsewhere. That is just the nature of college sports right now. The key is about keeping enough around. So far after 2 seasons Gates has really only lost 3 players that we would have wanted to stay. Diarra, Butler and Tonje.
He did a poor job replacing Diarra.
