In any event, if one is to believe the World Health Organization regarding their studies in 51 locations when they concluded that the Infection Fatality Rate for Covid is .23% (99.77% survival rate) and the CDC's Covid death toll numbers the US is already over 98% natural immunity. If half of the population is already vaccinated and that included the 2% who presumably have not already been infected... and the vaccines actually provide effective immunity, then we would have some 99% immunity already.

Unfortunately, we can't really trust the CDC's statistics regarding the number of covid deaths, of course, but we see that the number of covid deaths has dropped pretty dramatically and it is probably safe to say that we have already achieved some level of herd immunity.
