I have not looked at the science behind the claim, outside of potentially broader protection against variants. There could also be something about if you tested positive or actually got sick.

I do know many places will equate recovery to vaccination in terms of their own regulations. I am not sure if there is a timeline on the recovery. Since I am vaccinated and have never tested positive or been sick from it, not a whole lot of incentive for me to go looking for that info.
