It’s an interesting concept, that makes some sense, as an alternative to moving the whole tournament to one site like MBB and WBB and WVB are doing. There was a discussion here awhile back why that wasn’t feasible for softball and baseball.
In theory a site could be approved and the home team doesn’t even make the field. But you can bet that the top 25 teams that have any chance at all of a national seed will be scrambling to get their home town qualified and selected.
