He was hired to "Gary Link" the roster of bad seeds from Haith. And he did.
Many on here made fun of him for the silly rules he put in place -- that was intentional. The players he ran off were the ones that ran off Jonathan Williams - it was a poisoned culture.
He knew he was a limited term replacement-coach and was here to do 1 job. He agreed to a million+ per year to help out his Alma Mater, and secure himself financially for the career-destroying endeavor he knew he was in for.
For what he was hired to do - he did better than Haith, and better than Martin (thus-far). Talks of an extension for CM shows MU cares more about off-the-court issues than actually winning games.
No different than the internal fiasco of the Pingeton hiring.
Nobody should be shocked - it is standard MO for Mizzou Administration. Has been for decades...
