UK and to a lesser degree UF/Ark took men's basketball seriously. We were coming off a Big 12 championship and 2 seed in the tourney and had a great opportunity to capitalize on being one of the premier programs in conference.

Instead we basically gave up on men's basketball right at the same time the rest of the SEC started to focus on it and pour resources into it. I don't think its recoverable at this point, we missed our chance.
