but not in the rest of Indiana. Where I live, in one of the northern Indy suburbs, politics have become very dark purple here. That's exactly what we need... because it requires bipartisanship to accomplish things locally. But the Republican supermajority in the state legislature is extremist, which isn't even appealing to much of the conservative base in Central Indiana. It's baffling (other than because of gerrymandering) that they can so poorly represent the politics of the vast swath of Hoosiers...
