about race and racism in America.
But what that means, apparently, is that we can only hear the one-sided story, for example, of how the cops just showed up to deal with some guy named Jacob Blake, who didn't do anything wrong and who recently applied for sainthood, and although there were several officers on the scene, they all failed to not control a completely cooperative Blake, who was merely going to his vehicle to ____________. And then he was shot. Racism.
The truth is that the black community and all of the racism profiteers always need a new story to prove their victimhood (perpetual victimhood is a central theme of modern blackness). So sometimes when the fire is burning out, they end up hitching their wagon to a total POS like Blake, which is very destructive because they end up making Blake out to be this victim which he clearly is not as the inevitable truth comes out.
A true discussion about race and racism in this country would include much more self-reflection by blacks as to why there is so much ****ed up **** in their own communities always going on and what blacks need to do themselves to rectify their own problems. Some self-resolution would mitigate much of the blame they seek to place on others and they would remove what is at least somewhat of a non-existent barrier to greater mobility in this country. It's dumb founding to me that in America a majority of one race can believe there are barriers to their success solely based on their race. Meanwhile, if they would take a second to visit places (like a college campus or a corporate office), they would see plenty of blacks enjoying success who are not superheroes but merely moved forward and did the things that needed to be done to become successful, one of which is apparently not to shackle yourself to the belief that racism will automatically prevent you from that goal.
Afterall, 80% of blacks in this country are not living in war zone inner cities blighted by violence, drugs and single family homes. How is a strong majority of black people able to escape the iron grip of racism in America? Answer: the grip is not that strong.
These are the kind of counter opinions that non-blacks cannot express in the open and yet nothing I'm stating here is uncommon opinion among many non-blacks who see, but can't say, that much of the problems in the black community are self-inflicted. That is not to say, of course, that racism is not a real and existent thing in modern day America. It is merely to say it's present but not omnipresent. Institutionally, racism has been severely weakened and that's hugely important because it is the institutions by which people move up the ladder in this country. Schools, companies, etc.
The constant blame on others, however, without the others ability to counter that opinion with basic and easily supported facts only furthers the racial divide in this country. Again, you can't continue to have a one-sided discussion on racism in America and expect positive results.
