in public accounting because I was over 40. That's because the firms wouldn't hire staff over 40. Is that illegal discrimination? Clearly, and one firm already has settled a lawsuit to that effect (I am a class/collective action suit member). I had the same degree, passed the same CPA exam, had excellent grades, and made all the right choices to get a Big 4 gig. I interviewed well. Sometimes it's about the choices of others.
