That is a skill not everyone has. When you don’t have the Bama track record and rings to roll out to a recruit you have to be able to sell a vision of what the program WILL become, get them to believe it, and convince them they will be a huge part of it. That is successful recruiting.....you have to be a great salesman. You have to sell the dream BEFORE it happens. Barry wasn’t good enough to sell the vision....everyone was waiting around to see if he could do it first. And it didn’t happen.
