they are foolish. But that doesn't mean bad acts shouldn't be punished, if that is what you are suggesting. A person can be a raving racist if they want but when those beliefs lead to wrongful acts, the acts can and should be punished. No different than wrongful acts committed for greed, for God or whatever other reason.
