He also gets doubled a ton. In the NBA and Euroleagues he would face a single defender because he would be surrounded by shooters. In fact post ups are a part of how many teams in those leagues play.

It’s an analytics game now. Would you rather have a guy shoot 36% from 3 and average 1.08 ppp or shoot 43% from the midrange and average 0.86 ppp. Or post up shoot 48% and average .96 ppp. There’s a reason that the best coaches have changed how they play.

Tilmon for example as a roller averaged almost 1.2 ppp last season.
