You, along with many others on Tigerbored, assign other skills that the PG must have and it's simply not true.
Yes, you must have those skills on your team, but they do not have to be the PG.

There are excellent PG's who...after getting the ball up court...
- become spot up shooters.
- are good drive and dish guys
- create their own shots

It is an absolute fallacy that a PG must have a certain one or multiple of these skills. He just has to have one of them....after being a good enough ball handler to advance the ball without turning it over.

You need a spot up shooter
You need a drive and dish guy
You need a get his own bucket guy

But wings and often forward can be those guys.

The PG does NOT have to be that guy.
