have, today point to playing that way. It doesn't mean it's ultimately the best way to play its just a result of how today's players have learned.
If Tilmon had really learned how to play in the post he could be a dominate force in there today with his athletic ability. But he hasn't learned so of course he's probably not the best option.
I'll go back to my high school example. We have a local kid who is 6'7", quick, can jump, has decent touch. If he made his mind up he could dominate inside. He shows flashes of what he could do from time to time. No local team could stop him. But he'd rather jack up several threes a game and raise his hands and jog down the floor like he's Durant when he does make one. It's not the best way for his team to win but he looks cool. It's just a different mentality today.
