When they wee young you were "all powerful" in controlling and planning their life.. As they grew older, that changed, but I doubt ithat changed your loving of them.

1--God has not made us puppets........we have free will. The creation would be pretty boring to God if we were simply his puppets.

2-- there are lessons to be learned from those with blindness or deafness or other birth defects.

3-- suffering is part of the cost of life, and suffering in our lives enables us to more fully appreciate the absence of suffering.
