I cannot possibly understand - or really believe - is that a "God" is both loving and all-powerful. The evidence to the contrary is massive and unarguable.

Such a powerful force would NEVER allow birth defects as we've always had. There would be no baby's born blind. Or both born blind and deaf. There is NO one in the universe that can justify, or argue, that simple fact of life. That is just one of countless (literally) examples I could give for the rest of my life.

So, from the religious, I want to hear a rebuttal to that. And one that does NOT include the convenient deflection of using the word "faith". Screw that. Give me a damn rebuttal that means something.

In observing life, and history, the best attribute you can give to a force like a god is that at the very best it is indifferent to human suffering. Otherwise, WE WOULDN'T HAVE ANY. If it is loving and all-powerful.
