Total helath care spending was $3.5 trillion
Medicare & Medicaid spending totaled $1.3 trillion and is included in the $3.5 trillion, so spending would raise a mere $2.2 trillion.
Private health insurance costs were $1.2 trillion, assuming all that cost would transfer to employment taxes, taxes would actually raise $1 trillion. To be nutral it would require about $3k more taxes per PERSON, $12k per family.
