(redacted if necessary) so that the citizens are not fully informed? Is that your point? You don't think a person being investigated should be able to subpoena rebuttal witnesses?

This is what happens in legitimate investigations. Honest investigators don't bury their heads in the sand, but let the evidence lead, even if it doesn't fit their original thoughts.
