this isn't a new take. Similar findings were made with youth tennis, early mental and physical burnout.
Not every prodigy will play in the NBA. When was the last time the Tigers produced an NBA star, or even regular player? DeMarre Carroll? It is too soon to draw any conclusion on the Porters since Michael hasn't played a single minute in the NBA and Jontay is in limbo for the next year.
It makes me wonder if any kid on the current roster will play 4+ years in the NBA. Any future players on the recruiting horizon that fit that profile?
How is Coach Martin preparing his players for life without basketball? In his case, he went into coaching. How are the present players being prepared for a future without getting paid to play?
