and I can buy into the fact that he's attempting to do a "re-set" of trading partner expectations - maybe it'll work and maybe it won't, but it's attempting something new because the old scheme wasn't working. That's the pro-Trump version of it.

What if, however, the EU does nothing and it becomes a long-drawn out affair. It's basically the NK nuclear issue in economic terms. A "promise" to work on fixing the issues, with very little substantive results - although it's early in the process.
