His name was Albert White. Big 12 POY as a junior.

Its a considerable amount of work keeping a guy like that focused and eligible and not getting in trouble. But you can be sure that Norm Stewart recognized the amount of work required, and made sure someone was assigned to keep him able to be on the court. Because MU basketball in that era depended on Albert being on the court.
