Every day, at every level of coaching, guys make decisions about putting up with one player's baggage and not putting up with another's.
FIJI, accurately and reasonably, suggests that Gordon's issues may have kept Martin at bay. It has been discussed on here at length prior to today and especially during the period when pretty much everyone thought Gordon was looking to ditch SLU and that MU was the favorite. So, in this case, the "we didn't want him anyway" schtick is not a hindsight issue. There were questions along the way.
Now, you can try to take the discussion about 1 or 2 kids and make a blanket statement about "CM doesn't recruit players who have attitude issues" if you want, but you're the one who looks silly making that leap.
