You really need to get some of the elite in state talent

but that can't be your entire focus as some folks think it should.

I believe people really harp on it because we've typically gotten so very few of the top kids.

In my post above, I list the top 42 kids from '02-'14.
Based on what we knew at the time each kid was coming out, we should have truly wanted probably 17 of them. We got 6 of them and one transferred back to MU later.

Of the kids who were considered to be truly elite, national recruits...we were about 2 out of 13.

Should we expect to get more than half of them? Probably not. Should be expect to get somewhere close to half? Probably.
