but of the few I have, a couple of my better friends and one of my best ever (now deceased) were black. (I never leave the house now, I'm old and married and boring).

Race was never even a SUB thought, let alone a conscious thought among us. We were just friends.

Not a black guy and a white guy being friends. Just friends.



Then someone gets up on an awards platform and makes the color of his skin the issue.

And suddenly, there is a gap between people in his audience.

If someone in his past treated him poorly based on his skin color - he should write that person a letter, not address 10 Million people.

Just my opinion.
