and lack of a$$es in the seats. Odom's biggest dilemma, in my opinion, is having to piggyback off of KA and that disaster. Fans are so much quicker to just walk out and not spend any money because of what happened with the basketball program. Yes, it's knee-jerk, but it seems that people are already fed up with the football program and losing for the 3rd straight season.
When I was at Mizzou, it was the Peeler/Smith years and football was dreadful. BUT, we knew basketball would be damn good, so we could go to football games and not really care too much. And even through those bad years, the stands weren't that empty.
What we're seeing and have seen at the Arena is the low point as far as apathy and attendance.
I still contend that the mess of that CS and BLM bullshyt has blown over, especially with the hire of Cuonzon and a predominately all-black staff and if Sterk is given the green light to go to say, $5.5 mil., then I think the trigger is pulled this year. Unfortunately BO doesn't really have any leverage in that matter and I don't think any other coaches would think it's a quick-trigger atmosphere to fire a coach whose only HC gig was Rock Bridge HS.
