Different things make different coaches good at it

In Cuonzo's case he has good charisma, comes off as genuine, been thru some struggles so many kids can relate to that, but in the end any good recruiter needs to have connections to high school/AAU, eyes for talent, and know what works well in his system.

Just my opinion.
