I assume he's talking about probation when he says screw up. The team also went on probation under Norm. Norm also had some bad seasons after he got the program up and running too. Other then his last season his record in the Big 12 was mediocre at best. None of this is a put down just what happened. What Norm had on subsequent coaches was longevity which is rare in todays environment.
