The Norm statue: A testament to mediocrity.

I know that this will be an unpopular opinion around here, but it rubs me the wrong way a bit that we are building a statue for a man who never made a final four, let alone won a national championship. I've said before that Norm Stewart is the most overrated coach in perhaps all of college basketball history and my opinion hasn't changed.

Naming the court after him right now is fine and maybe even putting a little plaque in the entryway would be appropriate. But a statue of a man who was such a failure is undeserved and frankly a little embarrassing.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
