Romar was fired after the season and waiting to break the news would actually be detrimental to UW as it would delay their search for a new coach, many of which were done coaching for the season at that point. Mizzou had the luxury to wait for a couple weeks because the season was still going on and no coaches would move during the season. It doesn't take a genius to understand the difference.
