we have been told that the only reason Romar was fired was because he was losing Porter II. But if Porter 1 made the decision to leave because Romar was going to be, not had been, fired; then, Romar wasn't getting fired for Porter leaving.

Your version is a more realistic possibility, but also not true, unless you are saying (and can prove) that all these people who have said this is not what happened are liars who were lying.
