call after meeting with Sterk was to Porter to discuss the possibility of him joining his staff in Columbia. This caused a chain reaction that lead to Romar being fired. It was reported by Pat Forde that Romar was returning on March 6th. When Porter decided to move on, Washington's top class was gone and Romar was fired.
Cuonzo was definitely proactive in his hiring of Porter and likely is the reason Romar was fired this year instead of next year. I know the narrative by some on here is that Cuonzo just lucked into Porter falling into his lap. That just isn't the truth.
