Washington fired Romar. Cuonzo resigned at Cal. Mizzou announced the hiring of Cuonzo. All on March 15.

Now, what happened behind the scenes in the last few days before that is something we'll never know.

I believe Sterk met with Cuonzo on March 12 in Oakland to discuss the job for the first time. So it's a pretty tight timeline for the Porters to know that a coach they would like was going to be hired at Mizzou.
