Question on the averages

The NCAA's site says "Currently, teams must earn a 930 four-year average APR or a 940 average over the most recent two years to participate in NCAA championships. In 2015-16 and beyond, teams must earn a four-year APR of 930 to compete in championships."

Is the 2015-16 and beyond mean the four year averages start from there? If so we will be ok since we got a 976 last year we could afford a 904 and still get to the 940 on the most recent two years. If not we are ****ed as Fiji has noted.
