I agree wholeheartedly that science is not political. Climate science is totally political. Climate science is not science. I hear people all the time claim that climate science is settled science. Has any other scientific principle ever been claimed to be settled?
My degree happens to be in physics and if there was ever a topic that everyone agreed upon it would be gravity. That has not stopped physicist from reexamining what we think we know about it. What gravity is and how it works is a very hot topic in physics because physicist are allowed and encouraged to challenge 'settled science'.
I do not expect much movement in the near future in climate science because no one is allowed to question the status quo. Without the naysayers science stagnates. Naysayers are being shouted down in climate science. Therefore climate science, in its current form, is a religion not a science.
